Ludwina Dautovic will be hosting our first event this year in Newport on Friday 12th March from 6.30pm. She will be hosting a 'Friday Night Drinks'. Many employees host a Friday night drinks to celebrate the end of the week, so I thought 'why not self employed women have their own Friday Night Drinks!'. There will be loads of networking time or 'connecting' as we like to call it. There will be time to share your highs and lows and you will be inspired by what you'll learn in the evening.

The Red Tent business networking events are designed with real women in mind. So they involve real value, real connections and real experiences.

At our events, you'll feel like your attending a party as opposed to a business networking event. You'll share the company of women over food, wine or a cup of tea, whilst creating real connections, real friendships therefore creating real support for you and your business. You see, for women, it's never just about the business. It's also about how you feel, what's going on in your personal life and often that reflects on your business outcomes.

At our events it's a priority to make you feel comfortable and at home; to help you see your potential, to teach you new business skills so that you'll leave knowing it was worthwhile to leave your business for a while.

So if you are sick of the standard women's networking event and are looking for something special, then you've come to the right place. The Red Tent Woman is run by women who understand the unique challenges that women face in business and we get where you're at. We understand what you need and it's our intention to provide it at every event we host.

Women's Networking Events for 2010

Things are changing.... It's time for something new. I have a new vision for The Red Tent Woman. But before I share this new vision with you, I'd like to share what I learned in 2009.

  • I learned that we have lost the meaning of community in our busy, hurried lives.
  • I realised that I don't like the traditional form of networking and instead want something more meaningful and supportive to both myself and our members
  • I want to be more open, transparent and honest with the women in our community
  • I am aware that many women are feeling isolated, disconnected and lonely in their quest for success
  • I have noticed that there are many charletans in the business world making promises they can't keep
  • I hear people talk about integrity but don't walk their talk
  • In 2010 I decide to grow a tribe of women who are authentic, passionate, supportive and desire to be a part of a community that is about giving and sharing with each other.
Therefore, this year is all about:

Real Women, Real Business, Real Connection.

This will be my mantra for this year and with that I would like to invite you to:

'Join the Tribe'

Event location, dates and booking details will be listed by the end of February. There will be events hosted in Northern WA, 2 in Brisbane, Newcastle NSW, 2 in Sydney and 4 in Melbourne.

At home where it all begins...

Women's Network
To create a true community or tribe, I believe we need to get to the heart of people. And for women, our hearts are in our homes. But what often happens is, when we go to a networking event, we pick up our mask, wear it all evening, we come back home, leave it at the front door and enter our home where we can be ourselves. I don't know about you, but I find that lonely and disheartening. What if, as women, we could gather in the place where the heart really lives and meet in each others homes?

My mission for this year is to create a tribe of elders who I will train and support to run and lead these groups. They will be women, just like you, who have a desire to serve and support others. They are business women from all backgrounds who have made the commitment to help me create a powerful and nuturing tribe of women like no other.

Therefore, we will now be running intimate networking groups that will be hosted and run by women who are a part of our Business Success Club community. These women will offer events that are suited to their personality and style and they will be in their homes. They will be opening their home and their hearts to create a space that is real and authentic. There will be a variety of events, with different flavours and styles, offering you variety, choice and better locations.

How do I sign up for the events?

To sign up for the events you will need to be a member of The Business Success Club. Once you are a member you will be able to view all the events on this page that are available for you to attend.

Why do I need to be a member of the Business Success Club
to attend these events?

In redesigning the events we made a decision to make the events more accessible and affordable for you. We also want to give you the option of attending as many events as you like as a price you can afford.


Therefore, by being a member of The Business Success Club it creates a sustainable business model for TRTW to flourish, yet creates an affordable option for you. That's what we call a 'win win'.


 
 

Are there any additional costs?

There may be a small cost involved to cover the cost of materials, food etc, for each event, but there will be no profit margin charged on any of the events.

I will also be offering coaching programs and special one off seminars from time to time. These will be at an additional cost, however, there will be a huge discount for members.

Will you be teaching business skills at these events?

Yes, most certainly. Just because they may feel a little more 'social', it will not take away from business support and training. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Our goal is still to support you as a business woman, we just want to do it in a way that feels more like you.

What kind of women are you looking for to run these groups?

They are women like you and me. They are not 'big business gurus' who have no understanding of the challenges or struggles you face. They are at the coalface of business themselves and they will be there to support you. There are a number of women who have already subscribed to becoming leaders of these home groups and they will be advertised and announced shortly.

Who can become a leader?

We welcome all members of The Business Success Club to apply to become a group leader. There is an application process but the criteria is small.What we are looking for:

1) Women who have their own business
2) Women who are passionate about business, learning and inspiring
3) Women who are willing to open their homes, hearts and lives to other women
4) Women of all ages, cultures, religion, marital status, gay or straight, mothers or not etc
5) Women who naturally love to network
6) Women who want to develop their leadership skills and become a key component in TRTW
7) Women who are willing to listen and learn (this is very important. No 'yeh but' applicants please:)

There is no limit as to where these groups will be run. It is completely up to the community of the BSC members to decide. If you want to start an event in Timbucktoo you can. If you want to start one in France you can. We already have a woman starting the events in Canada and there is talk of New Zealand. It's up to you.
 

What will these events be like?

Great question! There will be all kinds of events. It will completely depend on the woman running it and what the group wants. But essentially they will be fun as well as educational. They might come in the form of:

  • Friday night drinks
  • Mothers group
  • Saturday morning brunch
  • Pot luck dinners
  • Weekends away
  • Wine tour days and so on...
You get the picture:)

What's next?

The first step is to become a member of The Red Tent Business Success Club (BSC). It is currently only $47 per month and will remain at this price, whilst we are building up the events. Once the number of events increases, the membership will also increase, however, any member that signs up now, will remain at the low price of only $47 per month ongoing.
