Mastering the Art of Shameless Self-Promotion: Branding
1. Remember that your personal style needs to match your business brand.
Ensure that your personal style—from your personal beliefs to outward appearance matches your business branding. Remember, people tend to do business with people they feel they can trust or have some sort of connection with. Brand yourself to match your own business brand.
2. Your business brand is more then your logo. How do you want people to feel about you? Or think about you?
Whether online or offline, you must outline your personal branding. This includes your appearance, how you behave, how you talk, your attitude towards others, your skills and what makes you unique. Think of yourself as a consistent extension of your product/service brand.
3. Make sure your business brand is consistent throughout your marketing materials—be it online or offline.
Branding is the key to product/service recognition. Make sure that your company logo, brand name, taglines and graphics used are consistent across all media. If you have a pro and polished look, people will easily recognise your brand and see you as a major player in your field.
