Mastering the Art of Shameless Self-Promotion: Website
1. Make sure you have a good, strong, web presence. A pretty website is nice, but if it's not getting you clients, it's just a glorified online brochure. Make sure your website has stickability which means that people have a reason to come back to it.
What makes a website sticky enough that people keep coming back to it? Informative and useful content that is clear and easy to grasp. Visually appealing pages. Easy and simple navigation. A professional looking site reflects your business' credibility.
2. Make sure you can make changes to your website using what's called a Content Management System. It will save you money and a lot of time.
A CMS costs lesser now than a few years ago, so it is wise to get one for your website. It will help make your site content fresh and gives a more user friendly interface to it. With a CMS, you can update content in a snap.
3. Have lots of interesting content on your site as the search engines love it. E.g. articles, stories, videos, audios, blog posts.
People gravitate to sites chockfull of information that can be presented through interesting means such as articles, audios, blog posts, and vlogs or video blogs. These can be submitted or linked to directories or banks for articles and blogs.
